“Nurturing the Feminine”

Understanding the Essence of "Phulkaari"

The term "phulkaari" is translated as "flower work," derived from phul (flower) and kaari (work). This lively craft involves the use of colorful silk threads to create patterns on cloth. Through the vibrant colors and intricate patterns, it celebrates the beauty of life, femininity, and the enduring strength of women. Phulkaari is not just a craft, but a living tradition that encapsulates the rich culture, spirituality, and personal narratives of Punjab, especially reflecting the experiences of women.

How do we Nurture The feminine

At Jeevan Pehar, we empower women through knowledge and community. Our monthly workshops provide a safe space for women aged 21 to 64 to learn and grow together. Each workshop covers important topics like art, mental health, career development, and financial literacy, giving participants practical skills for everyday life.

Our art workshops promote creative expression and emotional well-being. The mental health sessions offer tools for better resilience and personal growth. Career-focused workshops help women navigate the job market, improve interview skills, and expand their professional networks. Our financial literacy sessions teach women about budgeting, investing, and planning for financial stability.

By fostering a supportive community and providing valuable resources, we help women build confidence, enhance their skills, and connect with one another. Each workshop is a step toward a brighter future, where women can thrive together.
